After launching in Whole Foods and Sprouts, Kelsi’s Kitchen Truffle Treats faced a critical challenge: breaking through the crowded refrigerated dessert aisle against competitors like Honey Mamas and Hail Merry. They needed a rebrand that could transform whole food ingredients from healthy permission to irresistible indulgence while honoring Kelsi’s mother, a raw food chef who passed from ALS shortly after launch.
Consumer research revealed texture was the hero. People weren’t just enjoying the fudgy consistency—they were addicted and craving more. We repositioned the brand around “bringing back the joy of licking the bowl,” while Kelsi and co-founder Cassandra enhanced the recipe with dates to amplify that signature texture.
